Warriors Win Against Tough Zoom Squad

Dathen Curp makes an outstanding save to keep the Warriors on Top !!
Things didn't start well for the Warriors. The U12 Warriors gave up a goal in the first minute as Zoom striker  Read Barber struck a shot from 18 yds. out into the back corner of the net.   Instead of losing confidence and giving up more goals early, the Warriors struck back with 7 unanswered goals before conceding a Free-Kick from Zoom Midfielder Drew Clark with 7 minutes remaining.  The Warriors scored one more to put the game away as they move to 2-1 in league play.  Ryder Megois opened the scoring, the first of 2 goals on the night, with a header off a Karter Flowers cross 4 minutes after the Zoom goal.  Flowers netted 4 of his own with 3 assists.  Jackson Camp and Layton Crawford also scored as the Warriors finished the contest 8-2.   Grant Vice assisted Camps goal while Crawfords goal came off a pass from Ian Shah.  Noah Galman, Radley Mays, and Dathan Camp each played in goal.  Galman recorded 2 saves, Mays 5, and Camp 7 including a leaping save early in the second half which would have brought the Zoom to within 3.  The Warriors are in action Thursday night against the Sharks at Rainbow Middle School, game beginning at 5:30.
